REPAIR FAIR Rain or Shine SHARON on Sat. June 10
Don't miss the gift economy in practice; don't let the showers stop you… as we'll be under tents! The REPAIR FAIR is just one aspect of GOOD NEIGHBORS DAY in SHARON on Saturday, June 10 from 10 AM-2 PM (Sharon Town Green on the corner of Routes 14 and 132). The Repair Fair is joined by a Plant Starts Swap, Compost Workshop and tour of the Sharon Elementary School garden, e-bike and other e-tool demos, The Seven Stars Fiddle Orchestra plays and the Community Potluck Lunch is at 1 PM (bring along something to offer), kids activities, and many community Information tables. Even the Sharon Historical Society will be open!! Get your bikes fixed by your neighbor, bring along your small kitchen appliance issues, computers in need of advice, clothing that needs patching, chairs that need work, zippers that need fixing, socks that need darning… you get the picture… any modest repair your friendly neighbors who have some special skills can offer to you… for FREE. Happily, this all happens in World Localization Month (June) and is hosted by the White River Time Exchange, Sharon Energy Committee, BALE (Building A Local Economy) and the Kimball Library.
