Located in the heart of the Old North End, the ONE Farmers’ Market has been operating for 22 years. The market has always been committed to providing healthy food to the neighborhood at affordable prices. Our market is one of the highest recipients of Farm to Family coupons, which are federal and state funded coupons for fresh food for low-income Vermonters. We were one of the first Farmers’ Markets to offer EBT sales (formerly known as food stamps). We also participate in the Harvest Health Program that doubles EBT recipients’ purchasing power at farmers’ markets.
The Market operates on a small budget. As the culture of farmers’ markets has grown, so have the responsibilities of running even a small market like ours—there are more requirements from the city, more vendors wanting to join, many tasks associated with the EBT and Farm to Family programs, and outreach and advertising work.
