Worldwide Celebration of Music - Join the Movement!

Hello Lincoln Musicians,

Do you know about the Worldwide Make Music Day? It is June 21, 2023. This annual event is a day to celebrate the joy of making and listening to music. Whether you are a singer, a strummer, or a drummer, consider making a plan to share a small performance with our community. I imagine the smiles on people's faces as they show up at the Lincoln General Store to be greeted by a spontaneous musical performance. I could also see this happening on the porch of the Library, Burnham Hall, the United Church, or under the pavilion at the ball field. (Please check with the proprietors of these locations to make sure they are okay with you coming to perform.) Maybe it could just happen on your own porch or lawn. Let me know if you want to use the Town Office lawn.

Here is a link to more information about joining the movement: https://bigheavyworld.com/makemusicvt. You can register or not, but letting people know that you are participating will encourage others to share their music too. Thank you to anyone who is willing to gift us a bit of magic.

Best,
Sally Ober, Lincoln Town Clerk
