Rivers and Birds - a Field Walk

Past event
Jun 7, 2023, 7 to 8:30 AM

Starting this Wednesday morning, join an ecologist in the field to explore Vermont's rivers from a bird's eye view. No, not from a helicopter -- we're really talking about birds! We'll walk along the West River and talk about why rivers and riverlands are just as important to our feathered fauna as the sky itself.

Where: West River Trail in Brattleboro, Marina Trailhead (map here: https://westrivertrail.files.wordpress.com/2019/11/west-river-trail-map_11x17-2018-1.pdf)
When: 7-8:30 a.m.
What you'll need: Comfortable footwear and clothing for the day's weather. Binoculars are optional but recommended -- if you have a spare pair, consider bringing it to share! Don't forget your coffee if it's your secret to being an early-bird :)
Cost: Free as a bird
