The Civil War in Story & Song

Past event
Aug 9, 2014

The St Albans Historical Society & Museum will present stories and songs of the Civil War in the air conditioned Bliss Room at 7pm on August 9. A talented group of four storytellers will bring us "A House Divided: Stories and Songs of the American Civil War", which they originally performed for a full house at Canada's national Arts Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. The performance relives stories from both perspectives - North and South - framed with the stirring songs that were sung by soldiers and those who waited for them back home, including the story of the St. Albans Raid. This performance will provide a rousing prologue to the commemoration of the Raid in September.

Please join us at the Museum on August 9 at 7pm. Suggested donation $10 per person. Reservations are encouraged at 802-527-7933 or by email; museum@stamuseum.org or at our website; www.stamuseum.org.
