An Alternatives Presentation for the project listed below will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, beginning at 6:30 PM at the Poultney Town Office, located at 9 Main Street in Poultney, VT. The meeting will be held jointly between the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) and the Town of Poultney. The meeting may also be attended remotely via zoom. Bridge Project:
• Poultney BF 0145(13) – Town Highway 2 (Grove Street), Bridge 4 over the Poultney River
The recommended alternative includes rehabilitation of the existing steel truss and removal and replacement of the abutments, with traffic maintained on a temporary bridge during construction.
The intent of the meeting is to provide an overview of this project to Town Officials, local residents and businesses, emergency services and other interested parties. There will be a review of the existing site conditions, proposed work, and overall schedule followed by a question-and-answer period. Representatives from both VTrans and the Town of Poultney will be available at the meeting to address public concerns about the project.
