Join Jen Ellis, author of Bernie's Mitten Maker, a new release by Green Writers Press for a book reading, talk, and book signing. Ellis's debut publication is a memoir about sudden internet fame, but as the foreword by Dar Williams states, "the story is about more than just mittens." Ellis weaves a beautifully crafted narrative of a Vermont teacher, mother, and crafter who turns to creativity to heal from trauma, homophobia, and infertility, as well as the stress and shock of the post-inaugural Bernie's mitten meme sensation. Join Ellis, the Flying Pig Bookstore, and Vermont Teddy Bear selling Bernie Mittens on Thursday, June 1 at 6:30 PM.
