Two Words - Ben & Jerry

There really are only two words to remember in the world of ice cream - Ben & Jerry! OK, maybe decadence would be a third word. Thanks again to our local ice cream hero, Randy Aiken, we'll be serving delicious Ben & Jerry's at the 19th annual Westford Ice Cream Social this Sunday (8/3) evening on the Town Common. What sundae combination will you create with four flavors to choose from - vanilla, chocolate, salted caramel blondie, chocolate fudge brownies. Add to that the sprinkles, chocolate or caramel sauce, whipped cream and a cherry on top, and now we might have tripped over decadence and into sweet extravagance.

For those with a smaller sweet tooth, consider the simple elegance of a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a light drizzle of maple syrup. There really will be something for everyone at this year's ice cream social. Come on down to the Town Common Sunday evening and enjoy with friends and neighbors. Ice cream service starts at 6:30pm and the Town Band concert starts at 7pm. $1.50 per scoop (including all the toppings) with proceeds to benefit the continued operation and restoration of the Brick Meeting House. Don't let the weather stop you! In case of rain, we'll be safe and dry in the Brick Meeting House. Many thanks to Randy Aiken and Ben & Jerry's for providing our ice cream again this year!
