Keeping Track founder and science director Susan Morse will be speaking at the Richmond Free Library on Wednesday evening, June 7, and using some of her acclaimed photography of local wildlife to illustrate her brand-new presentation, "Enjoying Our Trails with Wildlife in Mind." Entertaining and informative in its own right, Sue's talk is especially timely as communities everywhere discuss how best to meet the parallel goals of protecting the ecological health of their forests while also responding to the boom in outdoor recreation.
All are invited to Sue's talk -- hikers, hunters, bikers, birders, skiers, runners, photographers -- anyone else interested in forests and the fascinating wildlife living in them.
The event starts at 7 p.m. and is free, with no advance registration required. Sue's appearance is being supported by the Richmond Conservation Commission, the Richmond Conservation Reserve Fund, and Friends of Forest, with much-appreciated assistance from Mount Mansfield Cable TV and the Richmond Free Library.
