"Taps Across America" is a nationwide observance that takes place each year on Memorial Day at 3 pm local time. It is exactly what you think it is: across the USA, lone musicians (or in some cases groups) play Taps in honor of those men and women from our armed services who died in service to our country.

Last year I played Taps at the bandshell at Volunteer's Green with about 30 or so people respectfully in attendance. Video from last year's performance is here: https://youtu.be/akQYc-K6HNU

I would be honored if those of you who have lost loved ones, or anyone who is otherwise so moved, would come and join us at the bandshell on Monday. We will observe a minute of silence at 2:59 pm followed by the performance of Taps at 3 pm.
