East Montpelier Trails Inc. will be celebrating National Trails Day on Saturday, June 3 by working on the construction of a new section of trail connecting the Mallory Brook Trail and Towne Hill Road.

Completing this segment will bring EM Trials, oh so, close to connecting East Montpelier from north to south by trail! (Not to mention connecting the trails to U-32 and the Cross Vermont Trail).

Please join us if you are able. Meeting at the Cherry Tree Hill Road Trailhead at 9:00 am. The trailhead is located on the north side of Cherry Tree Hill Rd, 4/10 of a mile from the intersection of Towne Hill Rd.

The large woody material has been cut along the new trail corridor and we will be working our way south from the end of the Mallory Brook Loop toward the new bridge site removing the debris and grubbing away at the brush and duff to shape the trail.

BYO water. Gloves and protective eyewear are recommended. Tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own favorite grubbing tool or rake.
