Many artists throughout the state are opening their studios to visitors this weekend. Sponsored by the Vermont Crafts Council, www.vermontcrafts.com, you will find a map and listing online or pick up a map at a participating studio. There are several participants in the Castleton area including Karen Deets Stained Glass, Beth Murphy Botanicals, Stragnell Art, and Merwin Gallery. In addition, Brandon, Poultney, Middletown Springs, and Rutland have many studios to visit.
At Karen Deets Stained Glass you can learn about the various processes as well as learning opportunities for a hands on workshop experience.
Fresh new jewelry designs will be offered as well as some bargains on retired pieces. The studio garden will offer accents for plants, indoor or outdoor. Fine art panels and interior glass will be available and in progress. Karen uses kiln fired techniques for permanent painting, garden art and jewelry.
Refreshments will be served.
