On Thursday June 1st at 7 pm at the Brookfield Old Town Hall, the Brookfield Planning Commission will present a summary of their work and revisions to the Brookfield Town Plan. Brookfield was awarded a Bylaw Modernization Grant in January 2023. The state grant award comes from the Department of Housing and Community Development, and it will help Brookfield modernize our development bylaws to increase housing opportunities in the community, as well as update our bylaws to comply with current state laws. The Brookfield Planning Commission is teaming up with Two Rivers Ottauquechee Regional Planning Commission to rewrite our zoning and subdivisions bylaws. Having input from the greater community is vitally important, and the representatives from the Brookfield Planning Commission will be in attendance to solicit input from the community, explain the grant implementation process and answer any questions.
