You're invited to a Walk in the Woods: Timber Harvest for Wildlife
Date & Time:
Saturday, June 3rd
9AM- 12 noon
Location
311 Mooney Road
Wallingford, VT
Please join us Saturday, June 3rd for the 3rd tour at Dan and Pat Stone's 132-acre certified Tree Farm in Wallingford. This series began in 2017 with a walk through a marked timber harvest, followed up with a very muddy tour while the harvest was in progress. This third visit will take a look at what happens after the harvest is finished, and the wildlife benefits developing over time. The Stones are not only participants in the Woods, Wildlife and Warblers program, but their land is also Conserved with the Vermont Land Trust.
This program is free and open to the public and intended to provide information and inspiration for other woodland owners to enhance bird habitat while accomplishing other goals they may have for their land. Consulting foresters for the Stones, Kathy Beland and Frank Hudson, and Steve Hagenbuch from Audubon Vermont will help lead the tour and answer questions. * Please dress appropriately for the weather and walking on varied terrain. Hope to see you on June 3rd!
This program is free, but Registration is required.
