Land stewardship is important for biodiversity protection as well as natural resources conservation. There are many options for landowners and towns to conserve land including conservation easements and state programs such as the Current Use Program. Other state initiatives such as Act 171 help towns to plan for the long-term protection of wildlife habitat and biodiversity.

Join the Craftsbury Conservation Commission on June 19th 7pm at the Craftsbury Town Hall to learn more about these options from presenters:

Jens Hilke, Conservation Planning Biologist, VT Department of Fish & Widlife
Kerry O'Brian, NEK Project Director, Vermont Land Trust
Jared Nunery, VT Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation Orleans County Forester
Bruce Urie, Craftsbury landowner with VLT easement and Current Use Program
