Within a month over 1800 Vermonters will be without a place to live. Many of them will be on the streets, including an estimated 600 children. The State of Vermont claims there is no money to continue providing housing so cars, tents and the sidewalk will become "home" to these our neighbors.
This week on Gathering Peace I will be talking with Montpelier Mayor Jack McCullough and Good Samaritan Haven Co-Director Rick DiAngelis about this looming crisis and what they see as the need for action by by state and local officials, the faith community, and other organizations.
