On Thursday, May 25, the Reading Elementary School community will observe Memorial Day. Starting at 9:00 am, the students and teachers will gather around the flagpole near the front entrance to the school to listen to the 'Star Spangled Banner" followed by a moment of silence. Students will carry American flags on a walk to the Felchville Cemetery.
At the cemetery (~9:30 am), students will perform readings, sing a couple patriotic songs and respectfully place flags on the graves of veterans. The ceremony will close with "Taps". We welcome any veterans who would like to join us. Feel free to meet us at RES, along the walk or at the cemetery.
