Hey, neighbors! I (Erika Nichols-Frazer, local author) will be teaching a two-hour memoir writing workshop, "Telling Your Story," at Bridgeside Books in Waterbury on Monday, June 12, from 6-8 pm. The event is organized by MakerSphere in Waterbury, which conducts workshops in a variety of artistic mediums for all ages. This one is geared for teens/adults 14+ and costs $25.
We'll discuss memoir writing strategies and themes, look at examples, write from prompts, share our work and get feedback on it. This workshop is designed to help kick-start the writing process on that memoir you've been thinking about writing (or are already working on). Everyone has a story to tell and I would love the opportunity to help you tell yours.
