Did you ever wonder why despite all of the fresh water in our lakes and streams, water quality from wells around Lake Champlain is often poor? Popular hydrogeologist Craig Heindel returns to the Worthen Library at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26 to explain how the bedrock geology of the Champlain Valley affects the quantity and quality of the water that comes out of our wells. Understand how a well is drilled and get an overview of some water treatment options for a variety of contaminants in well water. If you have a well in the Islands or around Lake Champlain, you will want to attend!
