The Eleanor B. Daniels Fund at the UVM Cancer Center is pleased to be hosting the 9th Annual Cancer Survivors Social to be held at the Inn at Shelburne Farms (North Porch) on Sunday, June 4th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
Most of us have been touched by cancer in some way, whether it's found you, your family, a friend or an acquaintance. Cancer can change our perspective and life, but not dampen our will to live and to enjoy the many opportunities that may come our way. This event on June 4th is one of them.
The Cancer Survivors Social is FREE for survivors, caregivers and cancer-related providers, but you need a reservation. It's a relaxing afternoon in a beautiful setting where we offer lemonade, ice tea and healthy, local hors d'oeuvres with produce from Shelburne Farms. More importantly, it's a special time, place and day to celebrate our survivorship (June 4th is National Survivors Day) and to connect with other survivors and caregivers.
We ask that people register, since space is limited. It's rain or shine, as we have access to a room off the North Porch, if we need it.
