[U.S. Route 2 Resurfacing Project]
DATE: Friday, May 12, 2023
TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: Monday, May 15, through Friday, May 19, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., motorists can expect daily lane closures with alternating one-way traffic on U.S. Route 2 (U.S. 2) between Plainfield and Marshfield and between Marshfield Village and the intersection of U.S. 2 and Vermont Route 232 (VT 232). Flaggers and Uniform Traffic Officers will be present to assist motorists through the work zone.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Crews will continue installing erosion control measures and installing underdrain from Marshfield Village to the intersection of U.S. 2 and VT 232. Crews will begin ditching work between Plainfield and Marshfield.
LOCATION: Beginning near the Plainfield/Marshfield town line, on U.S. 2, near the intersection of U.S. 2 and Hillside Drive, and extending easterly along U.S. Route 2 to a point just west of the VT Route 15 and U.S. 2 intersection in West Danville.
PROJECTED COMPLETION: Summer 2025

Public Information Meeting

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) invites you to attend a Public Information Meeting on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 6:00 PM in person at the Danville Town Hall, on the 1st Floor located at A36 Route West, Danville, VT 05828, to learn more about the Marshfield-Danville U.S Route 2 Resurfacing Project. The presentation will include a project overview, anticipated construction schedule, and information about expected construction impacts. Following the presentation there will be an opportunity to ask questions. This public meeting is open to all.
