The Locally-led Conservation Planning Forum allows stakeholders an opportunity to discuss current state and federal programs, conservation needs, and resource concerns in Orleans County. The outcomes of the Locally-led Conservation Planning Forum will be included in the OCCD proposal to USDA NRCS for local funding pool for conservation priorities identified by the group and will inform the Memphremagog basin plan strategies.

Sarah Damsell, district manager at OCCD, says the Locally-led Conservation Forum should be diverse and focused on agricultural interests and natural resource issues existing in the community.
