You are welcome to join us on May 17 for a time of silent contemplation from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
Our lives, our communities, our world is noisy. Everyday we face countless demands on our attention. It can be difficult to find the time and space to slow down, be quiet, rest our spirits. Just as we need air to breathe, water to drink, food to eat for our survival, we also need a time and space of silence, reflection, and contemplation for our emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
If your spirit longs for this kind of quiet and rest, a place simply to be still, you are welcome to join us at Newfane Congregational Church on the third Wednesday of each month. You are welcome to come for as much or as little of the time as you wish. You're also welcome to join whether you belong to another faith or spiritual tradition or none at all.
Some written guidance will be provided should you wish to have something to read in the silence, or you are welcome to bring your own reading material. There are no rules about how to do this, just an invitation and the offering of a beautiful, sacred space in which to sit and let your mind and spirit be at rest.
