The Friends of the Argyle Library will hold our annual Plant and Bake Sale on Saturday, May 27, 9:00-1:00, at the Library.
Because of the continuing threat posed by the invasive jumping worm, we will NOT be accepting for sale plants (trees, shrubs and perennials) dug from community members gardens. The only exception will be iris corms and other root stock which are bare rooted with NO SOIL remaining on the plants. Plants with garden soil cannot be accepted. Sorry! Instead, we will be accepting donations of the following:
---Bedding plants grown in COMMERCIAL POTTING SOIL ONLY; either plants you start at home or purchase from a garden center
---Garden bulbs
---House plants grown in commercial potting soil
---Baked goods for the bake sale (no cream cheese frosting or custard pies, please).
Donations of plants and garden supplies may be brought to the library on Friday, May 26 from 4:00-7:00PM.
Baked goods may be dropped off the morning of May 27 after 7:30am.
Other arrangements can be made, if necessary, by calling the numbers below.
