The New Haven Volunteer Fire Department would like to invite all community members to attend an open house at our station,1839 Main Street, May 13 from 9am to 1pm.

Whether or not you are interested in becoming a member of our volunteer fire department we would love to have you join us for firefighting and fire safety demonstrations. We will have our trucks available to community members of any age to see and experience, gear and tools to explore.

If you are interested in joining the department we will have several current firefighters present to share their experiences and answer any questions.

This open house, and several others across the state are being held as part of Operation Mayday. Operation Mayday is Vermont's first coordinated statewide firefighter recruitment effort aimed at bringing new firefighters into the Vermont Fire Service. The program highlights opportunities to serve in the Vermont Fire Service, either as a volunteer, paid-on-call, or career firefighter
