A few folks with the Vermont Workers' Center will be at Fletcher Free Library in Burlington this Tuesday, May 16th from 5pm - 7pm to answer questions about the Medicaid cutoffs and the Healthcare is a Human Right Campaign.

Starting in April, state governments and welfare offices began cutting off Medicaid coverage from some 15 million people. Elected officials in Vermont say many of the 29k people at risk of losing Medicaid will be eligible for private health insurance, but anyone who's been on a Vermont Health Connect plan with high copays and deductibles knows that's no substitute for free or low-cost Medicaid.

If you're in this situation of or know someone who is; whatever your insurance situation, if you can't afford to get the healthcare you need, drop by on Tuesday or get in touch.
