Saxtons River Art Guild Group Exhibition, May 3 – 31, 2023

A reception for the artists will be held on Saturday May 13, from 1 – 3 pm. Artists from the Saxtons River Art Guild will be present to talk about their artworks and refreshments will be available.
For the month of May 2023, the current exhibition in the Crowell Gallery features 22 members of the Saxtons River Art Guild working in various media, including watercolor, oils, acrylics, and colored pencil. This is the third exhibition at the Crowell Gallery for the guild. Highlighting a few of our members: Barbara Greenough is secretary and does portraits and local scenes in oil. She has just published a booklet "A Girl in Westminster in the 1940s and '50s", Nancy DiMauro says "Coming Soon is one of the six paintings I did during the covid isolation. I am glad I had a stockpile of photos of potential painting subjects on hand. Painting, walking, and reading were my sustenance." Kathy Greve paints a variety of subjects, some plein air, and others from photographs she has taken in and around Vermont, and during her travels to France, Italy, Germany, and the Bahamas.
