Please join us in welcoming Tillie Walden, recently named the fifth Cartoonist Laureate of Vermont.
A graduate of – and currently a professor at – the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, Walden won the Eisner Award for Best Reality-Based Work for her graphic novel memoir Spinning.
Walden's work is celebrated for its intimate and authentic portrayal of adolescence that often explores queer themes with beautifully crafted images paired with realistically emotional text.
