Lincoln Sports - Hill Country Holiday Aug. 2

Past event
Aug 2, 2014

It's hard to believe but Lincoln Sports is marking its 50th anniversary this year! In celebration, the theme for Hill Country Holiday will be 1964, the year we were founded. Do you remember 1964? It was the year of the first Mustang, Nelson Mandela was sentenced to life in prison, the Beatles held the top 5 spots on the charts, a loaf of bread cost 20 cents and Bewitched and Jeopardy began on TV.

Come support this group by showing off your 1964 nostalgia in the parade. We are looking for a 1964(ish) vehicle for our queens, Bev Brown and Peg Rood (both founding members), to ride in during the parade.

There will be the parade with the Bristol Band playing, a potluck lunch, games on the field and the Bee-Bop Car Hop. 50th anniversary t-shirts will be for sale. More details of the weekend will be posted soon! If there are any other groups in town that want to get involved with the weekend, please let us know as soon as possible.
