Paul is a veteran guitarist, who has rightly earned the underground reputation as a true "musician's musician." He has played and recorded with Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Otis Rush, Magic Sam, Earl Hooker, Lightin' Slim, Kermit Ruffins, Michael Ray, the Sun Ra Arkestra, The Wild Magnolias, Dave Grippos and so many more. He will be joined by Chris Peterman on tenor and soprano saxophones. Peterman graduated from Berklee College of Music and has played on the national scene with The Neville Brothers, Phish, Joe Henderson, John Scofield and Dave Brubec. On double bass, Clyde Stats, a professor at UVM performs regularly with Paul Asbell and has played with Howlin' Wolf, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, and Otis Rush. And on back on percussion from our inaugural 'Jazz at the Lantern' with Bill Pierce; Gabe Jarrett.
