Thanks to Police Chief Jim Dziobek and Charlie Morse for their postings regarding the August 5 celebration of "National Night Out" on Depot Square in Northfield.

In addition to National Night Out, we will be celebrating the merger of Northfield Town and Village and the redevelopment of our historic downtown common and a bunch of other good things happening in Northfield.

New Northfield Town Manager Jeff Schulz will be on hand to greet people and everyone will gather at 7 p.m. for a community photograph. Sponsors and supporters have provided food for the party!

Can we get 250-400 residents out for the party and the picture? The organizing committee is betting we can.
