Black River Memory Café is a wonderfully welcoming place for individuals with Alzheimer's Disease or any other form of dementia, or other brain disorders, and are designed to include the care partner as well, for a shared experience. It is a safe and comfortable space where caregivers and their loved ones can socialize, listen to music, play games, and enjoy other appropriate activities. They provide mutual support and exchange of information. This by itself is valuable if for nothing more than to obtain information about additional resources.
The group is being held the 2nd Thursday of each month, from 11-1pm at the Ludlow Community Center, 37 Main Street Ludlow. This event is hosted by the Black River Good Neighbor Services.
