Greenwich Free Library will host a free screening of The Quiet Epidemic on Thursday May 11 at 6:00 PM.

To residents of Washington and nearby counties, ticks and the diseases they carry seem almost unavoidable. In 2015 two documentary filmmakers, Lindsay Keys and Winslow Crane-Murdoch, both originally from our region, were each forced to put their careers on hold and move in with family while suffering from Lyme Disease. A nurse practitioner put them in contact with one another, and they teamed up to, as their website puts it, "use our cameras to understand the disease that had upended our lives." The result is the award-winning 2022 documentary, The Quiet Epidemic, which will be screened at Greenwich Free Library on Thursday May 11 at 6:00 PM.
