The stormwater from RT 116 and the impervious surfaces around the Hinesburg Community School and Silver St drain into a detention pond / rain garden at the intersection. This area serves as habitat for frogs,toads, insects and allows sediment with pollutants to settle out before flowing into the LaPlatte . Every Garden needs tending there is trash to pick up, brush to clear, and unwanted plants to remove. Please come learn more about how this garden functions and check out the native plants growing .
