This coming Saturday is Green Up Day 2023. Please set aside some time on Saturday, May 6th to help rid Sunderland's roads of litter by taking part in this 52-year-old state tradition.
Last year, more than 45 Sunderland volunteers cleaned up 20 miles of our roadways filling 115 bags and removing 79 tires from our roads and landscape. In total, 1.25 tons of litter & debris were collected and hauled away.

Green Up VT bags and ties are now available at Town Hall (104 Mountain View Road) Monday-Thursday, 9am - 3pm or on Green Up Day at the booth set up at Town Hall parking lot from 8am until 12 noon. (If you can't volunteer on Saturday, 5/6, you can bag the litter during the week leading up to Green Up Day.)
Tied-up bags and other debris can be dropped off at the Town Garage, 3039 Sunderland Hill Road, or left on the roadside in neat piles for pick up.
