The Vermont League of Women Boaters is an unofficial group of women who get together on Tuesdays in the summer for kayaking and connecting. Did you catch the article on the front page in the Valley Voice, Tuesday, August 20th? "We are the Vermont League of Women Boaters and we are paddling our way around Addison County." Founded in the summer of 2012 by Wendy Bruso and Barbi McDonald, I joined in promoting it on Facebook. This summer we have paddled Otter Creek at the falls in Vergennes and Ft. Cassin, Lewis Creek, Lake Dunmore, Bristol Pond, Dead Creek and more. If you are a woman interested in kayaking and connecting, come join us! We may have an extra kayak or two if you'd like to try it. With all levels of paddlers from first timers on up, we just enjoy being out on the water and enjoying nature and getting to know each other. Like our page on Facebook "Vermont League of Women Boaters" or email Wendy at wbruso@anwsu.org or me. Our next paddle is Tuesday, August 27 at 6:00 p.m. at Dead Creek Fishing Access on Rt 17 in Addison. Who knows....you might get a t-shirt!
