Randolph's downtown art galleries are excited to announce May's First Friday Art Walk happening May 5, 5-7.
Third Branch Pottery will be hosting Randolph artist Tyler Gately, a veteran of the U.S. Army and Operation Iraqi Freedom, during Military Appreciation Month. An opening reception with beverages being created in gallery by Wit and Grit will be taking place during the First Friday Art Walk.
"I am humbled and excited to exhibit at Third Branch Pottery," said Gately. "I look forward to sharing stories of aviation and service through art. Thank you to Stephanie Tyler for giving myself and other local artists a platform."
Gately's work will be on exhibit through June 1 at the Public Gallery at 15 North Main Street in Randolph, Vermont.
The White River Craft Center welcomes the community to view two new exhibitions during this month's First Friday Art Walk. In the recently updated lounge area the WRCC features a new Studio Artist Gallery a rotating gallery showcasing the current artwork of current studio artists. In the Main Gallery rooms, environmental artist, Anne Cummings has a solo show, Eco Art for Change, a beautiful and impactful series of works using post-consumer-waste as a primary medium.
ART, etc. continues to present their May exhibits featuring the work of Rochester abstract artist Caroline Tavelli-Abar and Randolph photographer Marjorie Ryerson. This show features paintings, photography, and poetry created by each artist. These artists have created works that are personal, contemplative and global. This exhibit will be on view until May 26, 2023.
Black Meadow Gallery and Tattoo will host an Artist Meet and Greet during the First Friday Art Walk. BMGT will be featuring Larin Cilley. Larin is a digital graphic artist from South Royalton, VT who has shown her work in several group shows over the past few years. Her oddly dark and humorous illustrations have been up at Black Meadow since April and her show will run until May 31st.
