REMINDER NOTE: Tomorrow night, Friday, July 25 at 7:00 p.m., the Warren Public Library will host a screening of documentary filmmaker Ed Pincus’s film "One Step Away." Ed Pincus was a seminal force in the documentary film world. “People now talk about Michael Moore. Michael Moore talks about Ross McElwee (director of the documentary Sherman's March). Ross McElwee talks about Ed Pincus,” said Steven Ascher, a onetime Pincus protégé. Commissioned by the Public Broadcasting Lab, its subject is a commune in San Francisco during the Summer of Love (1967). Ed’s wife Jane will be present at the event and will speak after the screening. The event is free and open to the public. Popcorn and lemonade will be served.
