The Sudbury Community Club is pleased to host Jeanne Brink who will present “The Western Abenaki: History and Culture – Who are these people and how did they live?” at the Sudbury Meeting House 2702 Route 30 Sudbury on Thursday July 31 @ 7 P.M. The Vermont Humanities Council through its Speakers Bureau program sponsors this presentation.
Jeanne has served on the Vermont Commission for Native American Affairs, Community Council for Vermont Public Television, and the Board of Trustees of the Vermont Historical Society and the Advisory Board of the University of Vermont Robert Hull Fleming Museum. Jeanne has a Masters Degree in Native American Studies and has co-authored a book on the basket making and another that is a language guide for the Western Abenaki. Jeanne has been a presenter of programs on the Abenaki for over 25 years.
