On May 13, the Cornwall Fire Department is hosting a membership open house at our Route 30 Station.
Please note, we'll still be hosting our popular family-friendly Open House in the fall but this event will be focused on adults and volunteer opportunities at CVFD. This event is focused on members of our community ages 16+ who are interested in learning more about being part of a Cornwall tradition!
Our community has an urgent need to fill the ranks of our department, which includes many non-emergency roles. Everyone has skills that can help their neighbors. No need for the full firefighter/EMT training, there are many jobs that need doing.
Members - fire and medical - will be on hand to discuss their experiences starting at 9AM followed by a short presentation about the services we provide, how you can help and questions & answers.
Starting around 10AM we'll take guests for a ride in our engines to inspect and test dry hydrants in town.
