Happy May! One way to celebrate the season is by reducing or your lawn mowing this month or skipping it all together. This allows more flowers to bloom has big benefits for our native pollinators who don't have a whole lot to eat this time of year. Leaving your lawn be also means a reduction in fertilizer, pesticides and emissions from gas mowers. Longer grass also helps filter more rain before it reaches the lake, keeping it healthier for everyone to enjoy. It's a win-win-win! Stop by the Green Up Day table at the Town Fair to pick up a No Mow May sign to declare and explain (via QR code) your commitment to your neighbors. Then kick back and enjoy the view!
