East Craftsbury's swingin'-est night of the year returns on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Three local organizations will host old-fashioned barn dance at Brassknocker Farm (Dave Rowell's big yellow barn) at 42 Whetstone Brook Road in East Craftsbury. The fun starts at 6:00 PM, with music starting at 7:00 and lasting until 10:00. Proceeds will benefit the Craftsbury Chamber Players, the Craftsbury Public Library, and East Craftsbury's J. W. Simpson Memorial Library.
Now in its fourth year, this event had quickly become known as the harbinger event for summer fun before the pandemic brought it to a temporary halt. The dance will feature live music by the Radio Rangers. There will be food from the C Village Store and Craftsbury Genny, and drinks from Blackbird Bistro
The night will also feature a silent auction which will raise funds to help the Craftsbury Chamber Players, the Craftsbury Public Library, and the J. W. Simpson Memorial Library serve our community's minds and spirits. Bring the family for an evening of great music, great food, auction fun, and to support three wonderful local organizations. Suggested donation is $10-20 per person, or $25 for a family (free for children 12 and under).
