Barge Canal Greenup Festival

Past event
May 6, 2023, 9 AM to 3 PM

Have you been to the ç? Do you think of a living landscape or a wasteland? Are you curious? Please take 6 minutes to watch a new video featuring the Barge Canal with the music of neighbor, renowned cellist, composer and friend of the Barge Canal, Zoë Keating. We won't be surprised if you find yourself feeling curious about this land after watching! Go to http://pinestreetbargecanal.org to watch it.

We hope your curiosity about this wild space right here in the south end will bring you to the Barge Canal Greenup Festival on Saturday, May 6, 9 AM-3 PM. Thanks to our efforts (your efforts!) last year, there is less trash to haul out of the woods and wetlands, and more time to get to know the land itself. Besides cleaning up trash, you can choose to join artists Annie Caswell and Kristian Brevik who will be there to help us honor and take care for this land. We will also be building a labyrinth and continuing the effort to remove invasive species of buckthorn. Dress appropriately for the weather and the work. We will be there rain or shine. More details on the Friends of the Barge Canal website. http://pinestreetbargecanal.org
