Tour of Pleasant Valley Reservoir

Past event
May 13, 2023, 10 AM to 12 PM

The Brattleboro Conservation Commission is hosting a series of community engagement events and public hearings around management practices in the lands of Pleasant Valley Reservoir (PVR), Brattleboro's principal Watershed Forest. The goal of these events and hearings is to give Brattleboro residents opportunities to learn about the land-use history and the value of the forested lands of PVR, and to allow residents an opportunity to voice their opinions and priorities regarding the management of those lands.

On Saturday, May 13th at 10am, we will be kicking off this process by hosting a tour of recent forest management activities, led by Dan Healey (consulting forester with Long View Forest and author of the 2021 PVR Forest Management Plan), Dan Tyler (Director of Public Works), and Fhar Miess (chair of the Brattleboro Conservation Commission). If you are interested in participating in this process, whether you're able to attend the tour or not, please register at https://forms.gle/18kGxyaQRe1sNiSP6

Logistics around the tour (parking, weather, etc.) will be communicated in the week before the event.
