On Saturday May 6th the Conservation Commission will be coordinating the town's local green up efforts. The Alchemist has graciously agreed to host the event this year. Volunteers are needed on Saturday May 6th – Meet at The Alchemist beginning at 8:00 AM- Rain or Shine. Pick up green trash bags and instructions. Bring gloves, friends, kids, energy, and enthusiasm. Return green bags to The Alchemist no later than 1:00 PM.

On Monday May 8th the Conservation Commission is sponsoring a Living with Bears presentation at the Stowe Library beginning at 5:30 PM. Jaclyn Comeau of the Fish & Wildlife will be presenting on Living with Bears. The first portion of the presentation covers basic black bear ecology and biology, followed by an overview of human-bear conflicts in Vermont and steps everyone can take to help improve coexistence with bears. There will be plenty of time for Q & A at the end
