Class 4 Town Highways are public rights of way that are not maintained by the Town. Per the 2018 Underhill Road, Driveway & Trail Ordinance the Town shall have no obligation to maintain Class 4 Highways. However, realizing that not all Class 4 highways are the same, the Selectboard authorized the formation of a Class 4 Roads Study Committee, who has been charged with providing the Selectboard with a guidance document in order to better govern these diverse group of highways.

The Study Committee is near the end of their work and would like to receive input from the general public. The Committee wants to hear all perspectives, whether you live on a Class 4 road or not.
