Early May Day Open Greenhouse at Foster Gardens

Past event
Apr 29, 2023, 9 AM to 3 PM

Our next Open Greenhouse is a special Early May Day celebration! We love to share spring color and the smell of the greenhouse! Visitors can enjoy the pansies, viola, dianthus, roses, herbs, strawberry starts, and more! It's very easy to maintain distance and pick up what is needed, including LAST CHANCE to get CSG shares!

What is CSG?! Community Supported Gardening! We have three levels (available only until May 1st), which all translate to a preseason, 20% discount! "I've Got This" Community Supported Gardening (CSG) Shares": $50 of Foster Garden plants in the coming season for $40... a 20% preseason discount!! The other levels would be $75 worth of product for $60, and $100 for $80.

It's too early to go "downtown", and not everything will be ready yet (still transplanting veggies and starting more seeds nightly), but we do have a few choices to brighten your day: some herbs (rosemary, lavender, eucalyptus, tarragon, lemon verbena, lemon grass, basil), everbearing strawberry starts (4" pots, super 6 packs, hanging baskets and bags), various succulents, house plants, and some garden favorite flowers (hardy pansies, violas and dianthus). Also plenty of pots and baskets of tender annual flowers that will need protection for a few more weeks.

All available at the greenhouse on Saturday or by appointment on the more sunny Friday;) We are located off of White Brook Road in Sharon. Follow the signs and enjoy the drive:)

It's a walk over uneven terrain, but take a walk around the wood-fired, solar-powered, ecologically-growing greenhouse and gardens, where no pesticides are used, only non-gmo and mostly organic seeds are grown, and organic soil and fertilizers are usedπŸŒžπŸŒΊπŸŒΉπŸŒ±πŸπŸ¦‹πŸž Great spirit lifter on a showery day:)

As always, we take your pots, baskets, trays, and inserts for reuse! We use 4" pots the most, short or tall, round or square, and 4 pack inserts and their trays. Plus 10" and 12" baskets with attached saucers. We also have plenty of pots to share!
