The Waterbury - Stowe Fish and Game Club will be hosting two free STOP the Bleed classes on Monday, May 22, 2023.

This 60-90 minute event is open to everybody and free of charge. Stop the Bleed is a training that can help you save a life. This course will provide training on how to safely and effectively stop bleeding in an emergency situation. This class will cover how to properly apply pressure to a wound, how to pack a wound to control bleeding, and how to correctly apply a tourniquet. These techniques will empower you to assist in an emergency, and potentially save a life. Volunteer instructors may take this course as part of their professional development requirement. "Stop the Bleed" training class to be hosted by the Waterbury-Stowe Fish and Game Club and Vermont Fish and Wildlife.

One class will be at 4PM and one class will be at 6PM. The classes are limited to 10 people, so please register with the Department of Wildlife as soon as possible to reserve your spot.
