On Tuesday, August 5th, from 4:30 to 8PM, in Taylor Park, the St. Albans Community will join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the “30th Annual National Night Out” (NNO) crime and drug prevention event. National Night out, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and co-sponsored locally by the St. Albans Police Department and the St Albans Community Justice Center, will involve over 11,000 communities from all 50 State, U.S. Territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world. In all, over 35 million people are expected to participate in ‘America’s Night Out, Against Crime’ on August 5th.
This year we are again anticipating an attendance of approximately eight hundred (800). There will be free music and entertainment, hot dogs, chips, ice cream as well as a variety of public service organizations with displays on hand. In addition, there will be a raffle of various prizes to benefit the St Albans Community Justice Center. This will be our eighth year of participation. Each year the number of attendees has grown and if the weather cooperates we are expecting another banner year. All St Albans Town and City Residents are encouraged to come out and see us!
