Musicians Annie Patterson and Peter Blood are returning to Middlebury for another community sing-along concert. As two of the country's leading folk music activists, they bring through their music inspiration, love and hope for these challenging times. Pete Seeger worked closely with them on their two song collections, Rise Up Singing and Rise Again. "Our mission," say Annie and Peter, "is to carry on Pete Seeger's work of creating a better world through encouraging people to sing with each other."
Come join us – sing along or listen. Singing has moved generations and helped repair the world. We will share some of this joy and healing power together. If you have copies of one or both songbooks please bring them to the concert. Copies will also be available to buy or borrow during the concert
This concert/sing-along is a benefit for Helping Overcome Poverty's Effects (HOPE) which has been helping low income people in Addison County since 1965 to identify and secure basic resources like food, housing, and utilities. Additional free-will offerings will be gratefully accepted at the concert. You may bring non-perishable food for HOPE's food shelf as well.
Masking is strongly recommended.
